What is the Illinois Mental Health Collaborative for Access and Choice (The Collaborative)?

The Illinois Mental Health Collaborative is the administrative services organization responsible for assisting the Illinois Department of Human Services – Division of Mental Health (DHS/DMH) in administering the state’s mental health care delivery system, and will help improve the capacity to serve mental health consumers and their families.

What are the goals of the Collaborative?

The Collaborative will provide assistance in ensuring access and improving the quality and appropriateness of community mental health services as DHS/DMH transitions from a grant-based to a fee-for-service financing system.
